Perhaps you are aware that in many congregations, members are wondering why their body isn't growing. The sad results of a recent congregational survey indicated that this specific church's members were sharing their faith with 1.2 people per year. Years ago the Institute for the study of American Evangelicals ISAE out of Wheaton College crunched the numbers and reported that it takes 500 layman and 15 pastors six months to bring a soul to Jesus in America.
How can this be, when we all are called to the Great Commission?
Many of our churches are faithful in support of missionaries in foreign lands, and that's a great praise! But, how can that same desire to spread the Gospel be brought to bear in our own back yards? Despite high quality teaching from the pulpit, many of our brothers and sisters seem unsure of how they can effectively step out for Christ in this present-day culture.
Candidly, I believe God has called me for a time such as this. It is my desire to come alongside of bodies of believers to assist them in sharpening their iron for fulfilling the Great Commission.
As an author and passionate everyday evangelist, I believe the time is short and the need to tell people about salvation in Jesus is urgent!
Pastor, I believe the church in general is in trouble:
"You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins and its gates are burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem and we will no longer be in disgrace." Nehemiah 2:17
That's why it is my desire to come alongside you to help show your members how they can be strong witnesses for Jesus during their daily activities. Would you pray, and pray again about using my services? 1 Thessalonians 3:2: "We send you Timothy, who is our brother and God's fellow worker in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith."
